InterFaith SameGame

InterFaith SameGame is now available on and there is a link on the Just for Fun page. It is a simple casual game that you can play in your browser, i.e. you don’t have to download it.

The more connected tiles you grab the more you score. The tiles have symbols from the 5 major world religions. Score enough points and you will receive a blessing. This is my version of the SameGame. Wikipedia quote: “SameGame is a tile-matching puzzle originally released under the name Chain Shot! in 1985 by Kuniaki Moribe. It has since been ported to numerous computer platforms…” It is great for when you have a few minutes to kill.

A million years ago I made a samegame I called Karma Kollector in a now extinct entity called Flash, and it was available for Android on Google Play. This is New & Improved!

So if you’re in a waiting room and you have time to kill think about trying it out.

Abductee 43 now available!

That’s right, the full game of Abductee 43 now available! Like the demo it, is posted on with link below. I am also putting in a link for the 1 minute trailer on YouTube, which gives you a taste of the flavor of the game. The demo doesn’t take too long, maybe 15 minutes. The full game is 4 levels and takes about as long as a movie, i.e. 2 hours. At this point the game and demo are only available for PC. Unlike so many first person perspective games, this one is nonviolent and it sure seems like we need more nonviolence. If you have a PC, try the demo and if you like the demo try the full game. Have fun!

Abductee 43

Abductee 43 is arriving! Finally. After countless hours of work that exercised my brain mightily (sometimes a lot more than I wanted it to) it is finally launching.

You’ve been abducted by aliens with attitude! Will you ever be able to get back home, or will they convince you to stay?

Abductee 43 is a single player first person nonviolent game for PC. The emphasis is on story and humor and not fast action. I made a website for it at .

You can download the demo here: .

It is family friendly in case you’re wondering. I would say it is safe for work, but I don’t know whose boss wants them playing games on the job.

(btw I asked them, and the aliens do not approve of violent fascist mobs.)

2020 – OMG!

I mean seriously 2020 – OMG! This year is the most stressful in memory, yet I am hopeful most of us will get through it. Of course our hearts go out to those who lose loved ones to this damn virus. I am hopeful that positive changes will come out of the political turmoil. And I am hopeful that we will get rid of this damn fascist in November. I have been busy with one reason being that I am one of the lucky ones who has been able to keep working straight through, and another reason being that I have been working like crazy on my computer game. So I haven’t been posting, but I just added 2 more pictures to my gallery and here is one of them. It’s called Hungry Flora.

Peace and I wish you all health and happiness.

Library Exhibit

Hello All, I hope you’re having a lovely autumn. If you happen to be in the Albuquerque / Rio Rancho metro area you can drop by and see my library exhibit. For the month of October I have 14 pictures hanging in the Esther Bone Library which is next to the big Post Office on Southern Blvd in Rio Rancho. They also happen to have nice people (like Josh the librarian), several computers, and lots of books there so you are bound to find things you like. It is nice to have my artwork out there and I’m curious about whatever feedback I may get. It was hard to choose pictures for this exhibit and I wouldn’t necessarily say it is all my best work, but there is a good variety. All but one is from the last 3 years so it really is representing my more recent works.

My Brain Is Not a Computer

“My Brain Is Not a Computer” is another departure for me – much more unabashedly surreal. It started with an image in my head and was helped to come out by the open source program called Blender. Blender is the free alternative for those of us who can’t afford a program like Maya which costs thousands of dollars. I have several new works that I have not posted yet, but I wanted to post this one to add yet more variety to my gallery. My production has slowed this year since I have once again fallen down the rabbit hole of trying to make a computer game. I don’t recommend doing this by yourself like I am trying to do. Find some other people interested in making a game to divide the labor.

They Always Say It Tastes Like Chicken

They Always Say It Tastes Like Chicken - an abstract surreal digital art painting .

I haven’t been posting much, but I wanted to add a post for the piece I just added today since it includes a poem, which is unusual though not unprecedented for my visual artwork. The title of this post is the short title for this piece, but the full title is really the poem below:

Tastes Like Chicken

The cellophane is so old it’s yellowed,
the industrial underpinnings are in disarray,
even though a dog once lay there,
they always say it tastes like chicken.

Well, I’m very sure that makes the piece much more comprehensible, but hopefully not so much that it inches on over into the banal. In this piece I reckon my digital transmogrification process went bezerk. Occupational hazard I suppose. Anyhow it’s another abstract surreal digital art painting by yours truly. Good day to you, and may your next meal be a delicious Earth friendly plant based one that does not taste like chicken.

modern websites

Modern websites are a lot different from the internet of yesteryear. Some of you know that html (the file extension when you save a web page) stands for hypertext markup language. In the stone ages the hypertext referred to links between text based websites. HTML is still one of the programming languages that underlies websites, but there are many layers of software on top of this for modern websites. This site and so many others these days are built on WordPress or some other content management system (CMS). The CMS in turn is built on top of other programming languages like PHP. WordPress makes it easier to build a modern website. And then there are many different plugins to make WordPress easier. This site uses a WordPress theme called Avada, with which I have mostly been pleased. I am currently working on another site for my son for which I am using a different WordPress theme called Astra together with another plugin called Elementor, and I can recommend this combination.  A modern website has lots of pictures, moving parts, and needs to be responsive, i.e. able to display correctly on the many different screen sizes of many different devices. The internet is not just for desktop computers anymore.

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day and in honor of our military, I am posting my only military related artwork. It’s called “He’s So Far Away”. This is an imagined memorial to a soldier killed in a far off foreign land. If you’re not familiar with it, this configuration of boots, gun, helmet is how troops in the field honor one of their own who won’t be making it back to family and friends. This is not a photographic work. It was made in a program called Modo with some post-rendering work done in Photoshop.

Spring has arrived

George Harrison said “Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter”. Now spring has arrived and here comes the sun. In honor of it’s arrival I’m posting this piece from the gallery called “Flash Frozen Flower”. I’ve often said I have a solar battery in my head – I need sunshine. I am delighted that spring is here. Enjoy.
