I am happy to announce that Erstwhile Landscape Portrait tied for the 2nd place award in this year’s online World Art Awards Surrealism category. I love surrealism and feel it is underappreciated. I am proud to have this picture among the winners in that category. There are 49 other categories, so there are lots of other happy artists who are winners. Artists from 61 countries entered their artwork, and the judging was by 20 leading galleries around the world. My thanks go out to Thom Bierd and the others involved who put on this annual contest, which includes $5000 in cash prizes btw. I am no richer in dollars now, but I am in feeling the satisfaction of having my artwork seen and appreciated.
